What Do You Want To Be When You Grow
Up?
Who knew I would take after my
dad and be a Realtor? I think Dad knew.
That is why from the young age of
8, he had me in the business, cleaning the office. Dad called it
"cleaning the office", I called it scrubbing the toilets!"
However by the time I turned ten, I began to "move up the
corporate ladder." I got to answer the phones on summer breaks
and, by 13, I was helping "file" in the closing department. To
say the least, Dad believed in having me "earn my keep." Looking
back, I wouldn't change a thing! Not only did I always have a
job; I had the opportunity to undergo a tremendous learning
experience. I can remember giving a speech in high school, "How
to sell your home." I think the teachers even learned something
that day.
The learning experience would
prove to guide the course of my collegiate studies. After
obtaining my associate degree at Northwestern MI College in
Traverse City, I ventured down to Central Michigan University
where I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design and
Industrial Engineering. While at CMU, I became a member of the
Gamma Omnicron NU Honor Society and the Social Event Officer of
the ZTA Sorority. I also had the privilege of doing an
internship at a very prestigious design firm, "Puffs of
Petoskey", where I had the opportunity to join the Puff's team
of associates but something inside led me back home to Deed (and
my Dad). In addition to joining the Deed team in 1994, I
received my Residential Builder's license, became a Graduate
Realtor (GRI), and an Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR). In
2005, I earned my Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES)
designation.
As you can see, I have had many
years of experience in the Real Estate field. You should feel
confident knowing that I am experienced to handle all of your
housing needs. I personally look forward to serving you and your
family's needs throughout your transactions with Deed.
